New years Shop Window

Even though its not christmas yet I have been planning the shop window for new year.  Am thinking of having some scarves made up to add a bright cheery note to the shop - and hopefully draw people in to buy.
The first week and a half of being open have been slow but people are gradually finding me and I am hopeful that when I get some advertising sorted out - and finish my website - then things will take off.  It's really great to have a space that I can work in and I am enjoying coming 'out to work'. The downside is that I have had to add gloves and scarf to my christmas list ( yes I know I should knit them...) because my poor fingers got all frozen today.  My website is partly done... you can't buy anything on the site yet but you can see my list of workshop dates.  Check it out at http://www.lupinandrose.co.uk/.

Knitted Tissues....just what you need for winter

I don't know where you buy them but it's a sure sign that knitting has 'made it' when Kleenex bring out a knitted tissues box.....and they can be recycled into a cool looking yarn holder thats stops your yarn from travelling all over the floor when you are knitting....

The Town crier went through Bromyard anouncing the opening of Lupin and Rose tomorrow.  I'm afraid he got a bit 'squashed in translation' as I had to turn him round in Movie Maker .  Tomorrow when he does his stuff again I will remember to keep the camera in 'landscap' position!

Christmas Window

Nearly there now, only one day to go and I will be officially open.  Most of my stock has arrived and I am looking forward to finishing the arrangement of it all tomorrow. Its been a bit of a rush, from finally getting the finance just a few days ago (or so it seems - its actually been three weeks) to opening on Saturday.  Must be the fastest shop launch ever!
